  About Us

The Arts Society Poole meets monthly for interesting and often amusing talks on a wide variety of arts subjects. The talks are given by lecturers with the finest credentials in their specialist fields. All our lecturers have been accredited by the Arts Society which ensures a high standard of presentations.

Normally there are nine lectures each year (October to June) held at 2:00pm usually on the third Friday of the month (please check on the Programme page) in Canford Cliffs Village Hall (map).

The Society also organises a series of events and visits  during the same period.

JOIN US

Poole Arts Society welcomes new members. The membership fee for 2022-2023 is £54 for a single subscription and £98 joint (2 people at the same address). This includes an affiliation fee to The Arts Society and a small contribution to a local arts-related good cause or project (Arts Volunteering).

Please email your completed membership application form to the membership secretary if you would like to apply to join Poole Arts Society. Unfortunately, because of seating restrictions in the lecture hall, we are unable to admit guests.

The Society is a member of The Arts Society (formerly The National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies). A copy of the national magazine, The Arts Society Review, is delivered to members' homes quarterly. The web site, magazine and regular emails provide articles on arts subjects, news of AS activities nationally and ideas about what is available for members, including Zoom lectures, virtual exhibitions and courses at both national and local level. It also gives information on holidays arranged specifically for AS members.
