  About Us

Poole Arts Society meets monthly for interesting and often amusing talks on a wide variety of arts subjects. The talks are given by lecturers with the finest credentials in their specialist fields.

There are nine lectures each year (October to June) held at 2.15pm usually on the third Friday of the month (please check on Lectures page) in Canford Cliffs Village Hall (map).

The Society also organises a series of events and visits  during the same period.

JOIN US

There may be a waiting list for new members, but you may place your name on the list by emailing the membership secretary. Unfortunately, because of seating restrictions in the lecture hall, we are unable to admit guests this year.

All new members are invited to an event in the year they join so that they can meet the Committee and other new members. The current subscription is £45 pa for an individual or £80 for a couple.

The Society is a member of The Arts Society (formerly The National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies) and a copy of the national magazine, The Arts Society Review, is delivered to members' homes quarterly. It provides articles on arts subjects, news of AS activities nationally and ideas about what is available for members, including courses at both national and local level. It also gives information on holidays arranged specifically for AS members.
